America, so sad………………

When the government handed out trillions to Wall Street,  and the execs give themselves hugh bonuses,   there was nary a whimper from Main Street…

When the government handed out billions to US car companies,   there were only a few dissenters on Main Street…..

When the government went to war with Iraq,  sending young men and women to fight a foe who had nothing to do with 9/11,   a war which will destablize an entire region for the next 100 years,   a war which costs billions and billions a year, a war which cost the lives of thousands of our best and brighest,  there were few cries from the people of Main Street…

But when the government announced health care reform,  so fellow American citizens could get access to needed health insurance,   all hell broke loose on Main Street.  “What,  give aid to my fellow citizens,  why I’d rather give trillions to bankers,   give hundreds of millions to Halliburton and Black Water,   give billions to GM and Chrysler.   But health care to my fellow Americans,  no way…..”

Shame on you America…you are no longer the home of the brave and land of the free…You are now the home of the corporate lobbyist,  and land of the fat and rich…. You  are all slaves to the corporate elite… You are all fools………………

I read this and agreed with the first three paragraphs. Then I got to health care, and I must respectfully disagree....
